Otago
Disability Information Service
The Disabled Information Service is motivated by our motto “Independence through Information” and exists to provide disability and health related information to the Otago region whilst remaining apolitical and non-aligned within the sector. The organisation works in a fashion that ensures that information on disability issues is available and readily accessible to the communities of the Otago region. We believe access to information is the key element in providing the public with the opportunity to make informed choices. To achieve this we participate and facilitate within local communities whilst upholding the relevant objectives of the NZ Disability Strategy, leading government policy documents and the UN Convention for the Disabled Person.
