Step Ahead - Christchurch

Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday, plus some weekend and evening activities. Step Ahead is an independent community based rehabilitation programme primarily for people who experience schizophrenia or affective disorders. Wide range of activities provided, determined by desires of members. Members need to be relatively independent and motivated, and maybe involved in the running of the programme, on its Trust Board or as Activity Coordinators. Step Ahead currently provides activity based services in Richmond, Riccarton, Kaipoi, Amberley, Oxford and Ashburton. The Vocational Agency assists members to return to work or study and provides opportunities for paid employment. Membership costs $10.00 per year.
