Te Whanau O Waipareira Trust (Wai Health)

Wai Health has a multidisciplinary team of 106 full-time staff, including community health workers, well child nurses, public health specialists, dietician, doctors, practice nurses, diabetes nurse specialists, podiatrist, mental health workers, drug and alcohol counsellors, psychologist, ACC support workers. The Trust also contracts dental, optometry and physiotherapy services. We hope this year to provide pharmacy services and midwifery clinics. Ourvisionis to improve the health of all who reside in the rohe (area) of Ngati Tuwharetoa. We provide a range of services which include Mental Health, High Needs, Health Education and Promotion, Smoking Cessation and Maori Health. Our services cater for all ages from Tamariki (children) to Kaumatua (seniors). The services which we provide are 'free of charge'.
